The foundation females for the One Dexter herd will be arriving soon.
We already have our eye on some beautiful pedigree Dexter heifers, chosen with the future of the herd in mind. We are looking for hardy, functional cattle with good temperaments, strong maternal qualities and the ability to thrive on a low-input, pasture-and-forage-based system.
As the herd takes shape, this page will introduce each Dexter individually, with photographs, pedigree details and a little about their role within One Dexter.
These first females will be more than the beginning of the herd. They will form the foundation of the cattle and genetics that One Dexter develops over the years ahead.
